June Theme Song: "As You Are One"

The two psalms assigned are very different in content.   I will write a Call to Worship  for each, so you can choose depending on which one works with your message this Sunday.
Call to Worship (adapted from Psalm 13):
L:  How long, O Lord?  Will you forget me forever?
P: How long will you hide your face from me?
L: Consider me and answer, O God.
P: Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death.
L: I have trusted in your steadfast love,
P: And my heart will rejoice in your salvation.
L: I will sing to the Lord,
ALL: For even now, you will not forget me.

Call to Worship (adapted from Psalm 89):
L: I will sing of your steadfast love, O Lord,
P: With my mouth I will proclaim your faithfulness.
L:  Your steadfast love is established forever,
P: Your faithfulness is as firm as the heavens.
L: Happy are the people who shout to you in praise, O God,
P: Who walk in the light of your eyes.
L: For your are your shield,
ALL: You alone, O God, are holy.

Call and Response, inspired by Psalm 13: "How Long, O God? How Long?"

Children's Sermon: "God in Hiding"

Communion/Offering Meditation: We have all come to God's table hungry, lonely,  in need of healing.  We have learned through our own experience that  God's table is spread for ones like us.  Since we have all known what it is to be exiles, God calls us to make space for all other exiles.   We remember our hunger, and allow it to grow compassion in our hearts.  Through our practice of holy hospitality we work with God to ensure that this table is always large enough, the provisions are always adequate enough, that no one will leave our doors empty-handed.  To this end we commit our gifts and our hearts.
